I have been practicing law over 40 years, and have decided that it is the right time to make changes. I had no understanding of family law when I went to law school, and early on I learned that it was a great fit for me. Family law is the equivalent of a liberal arts degree in college because it crosses so many areas, from understanding the asset/valuation side all the way to learning about family violence, substance use disorders and child development.
The Family Law Bar in Texas is recognized nationally, and I am honored to have worked with so many outstanding attorneys. They made me a better lawyer. It was also an amazing stroke of luck to be at the forefront of collaborative law in Texas. We did a lot to spread the process throughout the country, and I found my true passion and the best use of my skills representing clients in the collaborative divorce process. I hope that I helped a lot of people get through a stressful process without contributing to further destruction to the family. Finally, I will most remember the number of children I advocated for throughout incredibly difficult divorce situations. I think about them all at various times.
I will continue to be available for mediations, and to help counsel anyone who needs assistance finding the right lawyer. Reach me at:
